巴基斯坦纺织厂协会(aptma)主席aamir fayyaz引用巴基斯坦纺织行业的出口数据告知，2016年度纺织品出口延续惨淡。他说今年出口部门进一步下降了6亿美元，主要是由于经营成本较高。

据fayyaz所说，根据当前趋势，巴基斯坦整体出口预计将下降12亿美元，由于政府需要动力来阻止已经上升到283亿美元水平的贸易赤字。

巴基斯坦媒体报道引用他们的观察说，只有政府专注于采取出口增长的政策方案，贸易逆差才可以有所弥合。

“当前纺织业在国际市场上呈现出竞争力不足，这主要是由于不切实际的高能源成本，尤其是在纺织行业占据70%的旁遮普州，”他说。

by quoting export figures from the pakistani textile industry, all pakistan textile mills association (aptma) chairman aamir fayyaz informed that textile exports continued to remain gloomy for the 2016 calendar year. he said exports from the sector dipped by a further $600 million this year, primarily due to the high cost of doing business.

according to fayyaz, as per the current trend, overall pakistani exports are also forecast to decline $1.2 billion, due to which an impetus is required from the government to arrest the trade deficit which has risen to unmanageable level of $28.3 billion.

pakistani media reports quoted him as observing that the trade deficit can be bridged only if the government puts a focus on export growth policy initiatives.

“the textile industry is rendered uncompetitive in international markets due to the unrealistically high energy cost, particularly in the state of punjab, which is home to nearly 70 per cent of the pakistan textile sector,” he stated.
